This Chinese eatery was created under the influence of a Chinese Opera. Literally. The thought of Opera generally produces a picture of men and woman in formal wear, ready to enjoy a calm evening of Italian vibrato. When I think of Opera, I think of the Opera I experienced in China. Here, the most prevalent sounds were people rustling through large brown paper bags having a good ol' time, eating and drinking throughout the performance. Inspired by this Oriental Opera, other memories from my travels snuck into the restaurant's design, from the young Dalai Lama to Bangkok's "Red light" district.
